My Emotional Eating Origin: The Kitchen Cupboard Story

Fullness Podcast Ep 3 P Pinterest.png

Do you ever wonder where your emotional eating originated?

I think it’s better to say “Coping with Food” instead of Emotional Eating.

We are all emotional eaters. This behaviour is normal.

Food invokes all kinds of emotions. Happy memories, feelings of comfort, and even sadness and guilt.

It also becomes a way to cope with stress. So you may eat emotionally, but it isn’t a coping mechanism

Tune in to this episode if you want to hear about my:

  • Food and body struggles

  • Food insecurity in childhood

  • A bit about my dysfunctional family life

  • My emotional eating to cope with stress and life.

It’s a short story of the beginning of a life long push/pull with food.

Menopause is a time that body issues come back, full force.

And I have heard more of you say you hate your f**king body more than you say you accept your body.

I know that feeling.

I also know that menopause is the right time to finally look yourself in the mirror and decide to approach the next chapter with love.

Love for yourself, and your eating journey.
More love, less struggle. Less hate.

Your eating journey may have started way back, like mine, by looking into a kitchen cupboard, hoping to find a hug.

If you’re ready to let go of dieting, and your struggle with food and body, start here, on this podcast, and with my free Non Diet Health and Body Image Starter Guide for Menopause.

Here’s to your next chapter,

Tanya
