An Exceptional New Year’s Resolution for 2021: Explore Your Possibilities!

  • Not sure if you want a New Year’s Resolution for 2021?

  • Feeling less hopeful in 2021?

  • Afraid to dream, AND PLAN LIFE, with all the uncertainty in the world?
Hmmm, I wonder if this is why we latch on to diets, because the feel CERTAIN, if we just follow the steps THIS time …

  • Seeing the inequities in 2021 with new eyes?

If the same old New Year’s resolutions for 2021 is leaving you feeling a little lacklustre, tune in to today’s episode, where Sara MacLachlan and I talk about the idea of possibility.

Sarah has already shared her passion for Human Design on Episode 13 and has become a wonderful connection!

Human Design = POSSIBILITY.
And Dreams.

In the turmoil of COVID 19, and leaving an uncertain 2020 behind, the New Year of 2021, leaves many feeling like they lack resources right now due to:

  • Job Loss. In this article from the CBC, BIPOC are more likely to be out of work in 2020, with the article stating that South Asian, Arab, and Black people are the bigger picture of “race-based unemployment data.”

  • Isolation. Less Human connection = Less Hope.

  • Food Insecurity. Fear is still driving food hoarding, leaving less for vulnerable populations, and less donations to food banks.

It’s hard to dream with all of this going on.

Can we just focus on what IS POSSIBLE, Sarah asked?

I also mention how AWARE I am of the dominant theme I carry on this podcast.

Privileged.

White.

Cis gendered.

Still in a society-deemed-right body.

I have gained so much from discussion groups opened up by Dr Barbara Shabazz, the founder of Intentional Activities.

These themes definitely came to the forefront for me this year, in my drop in conversations with Dr. Barbara Shabazz, who has taught me much about allyship and held the mirror up for me to examine my part, OUR part, as white wellness women, in systemic racism.

If you are still doing the work, and uncovering, and unlearning and DISCUSSING this with your family, I urge you to visit Dr. Shabazz, and drop in on a discussion.

Find her on Instagram @dr.bshabazz and tune into her brilliance.

And Sarah MacLachlan, who embodies POSSIBILITY any year, is still the @kindnesswarrior on Instagram!
