Hi, I'm Tanya.

I created Thriving in the Third because I believe our lives don't stop evolving after 60—they simply ask us to grow in new ways.

Like many women, my path hasn't been a straight line.

I've experienced deep loss, including losing the father of my daughter to suicide.

Years later, I found myself starting over again after the unexpected end of a 20-year relationship and blended family.

Those experiences changed me forever. They left deep scars. They also taught me that healing isn't about returning to who we were.

It's about discovering who we're becoming.

 

 

Professionally, I've spent more than two decades in healthcare as a dental hygienist, helping people improve their health one conversation at a time.

My background in nutrition and motivational interviewing deepened my understanding that meaningful change after loss isn't built through perfection—it's built through self compassion, structure, consistency, and small choices, on repeat.

It’s also built on friendship and connection.

 
 

Today, those experiences come together in
everything I create.
